Dalfen Residence
The "Red House" in Crystal Beach was designed in a contemporary style, with simple box forms, a stucco exterior, and flat roofs. Large expanses of glass on the north wall open onto a terrace, overlooking the Ottawa River.
The rooms are generous, with large windows and high ceilings, and arranged to promote ease of flow between public rooms, and privacy for bedrooms. The detailing is modernist throughout, using high quality natural materials and low maintenance finishes, giving the house the look of casual elegance.
