Kell Residence

The house is one of the towns finest examples of domestic Queen Anne style architecture. This Victorian eclectic style was popular from the 1870’s to the 1900’s. With elaborate wood ornamentation, wrap-around porches, turrets, and fanciful details, it was quickly disseminated in the pattern books of the period throughout Canada.

This home was renovated, top to bottom, and modernized, with sensitive detailing inside and outside, to respect the original architecture and enhance it. An existing garage was renovated and received a face-lift, while another garage was built, in tandem, at the back of the lot.

Winner of the Town of Mississippi Mills LACAC Award, 2002, for Residential Infill.
