Victoria Woollen Mill

The Mill has occupied a prominent place in the life of Almonte since its construction in 1850. Typical of its industrial ancestry, it has no discernable architectural style lineage, but nonetheless was recognized for its historical importance as a prominent structure on Almonte’'s main street, and as being built by one of the towns founding families, the Rosemonds.

Recently new owners have renovated the building, bringing it up to present day code standards, introducing new uses, mostly offices. Our role was Design Consultants to the Owners, working in concert with the Architect-of-Record, Julian Smith.

The project received the LACAC Conservation Design Award a decade ago.
